About Us

With over 20 years of operations, Quick Response Fire Protection is New Jersey’s largest residential and commercial fire sprinkler contractor. With turn-key systems as our specialty, we have designed, installed, and maintained fire sprinkler systems in hundreds of New Jerseys premier residential and commercial properties.

Our employees are trained in local, state, and federal fire protection regulations and have years of field, administrative, and design experience, thus giving our team a wealth of industry knowledge.

Our Team

The owners and management of Quick Response Fire Protection are directly a part of our daily operations. Our management team learned their craft from the bottom up in both the office and field – installing, servicing, and designing fire protection systems. Our team makes it a priority to pass along our culture, practices, and industry knowledge to our employees from sponsored training and seminars to employee outings and events. Decade after decade, our management team remains nothing short of all-in.

Kent Mezaros

Chief Executive Officer

Quick Response Fire Protection

CEO and founding partner of Quick Response Fire Protection in 1999. Kent has 36 years of experience in the fire protection industry and is a qualified expert of residential fire sprinkler systems in the state of New Jersey. Kent currently sits on the New Jersey Fire Sprinkler Advisory Board and served 18 years on the Board of Directors of the National Fire Sprinkler Association, including two terms as Chairman of the Board. Kent currently handles upper-level management duties in addition to estimating and preparing the vast majority of proposals for Quick Response Fire Protection.

William Roberts

Lead Designer

For over 35 years, William Roberts has completed the engineering and design of hundreds of fire suppression and special hazard systems. As lead designer William carries an excellent grasp of life safety codes and is a NICET Level IV in Fire Sprinklers, with NICET Certifications in Fire Alarm, Special Hazards, Inspections, and Maintenance. In addition to Williams work, he is currently an active member of the NFSA Engineering and Standards committee as well as the NFPA Residential, Hanging and Bracing, Private Water Supply Piping Systems, and Hanging and Bracing Fire Suppression Systems committees.

Deborah Rigney

Purchasing Manager

Deborah Rigney has 25 years of experience in the fire protection industry and is certified as a Six Sigma Greenbelt. As lead purchasing manager, Deborah is responsible for negotiating prices, purchasing material, and scheduling material deliveries for all the company’s projects. Deborah works closely with project foreman, warehouse personnel, project management, designers, and upper management.

Dawn Cicardo

Inspection Dept. Manager

Dawn manages the inspection department as well as the administrative team. She was instrumental in researching and implementing our new software program which has organized and streamlined operations. Dawn brings over 30 years of experience in the fire life safety industry. She comes from a family-owned fire and security alarm business that her late father started in 1976. The family business sold shortly after her father’s passing, leading her to a fulfilling and rewarding career at QRFPSS. Dawn is passionate about the industry, the work we do and is a dedicated member of our team.

Darrell Mcgee

Director of Operations Q.R.F.P

Darrell is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He has worked in the fire sprinkler industry for over 30 years. Darrell started his career on the drawing boards as a fire sprinkler design technician, later becoming a project manager and project estimator. By 2009, he became the branch manager of a major tristate area fire protection contractor. Darrell joined the Quick Response Fire Protection Team in 2013 as Director of Operations. His vast knowledge of construction codes, standards and construction technology enables him to provide quick answers to our clients and installers questions.

David Romao

Senior Designer

David has 17 years of experience in the fire protection industry and worked with Quick Response Fire Protection since the start of his career. He graduated from Ramapo College of NJ with a degree in graphic and multimedia design. Following his education, David completed a 2 year design layout technician program through the National Fire Sprinkler Association. David is responsible for the design of multiple fire sprinkler and alarm projects as well as training the junior design staff.

Vincent Fichera

Operation Manager

Mr. Fichera rejoined the company after several years working for a top general contractor in NYC. Vinny has brought that unique perspective and over 36 years of fire sprinkler industry experience to QRFP. Starting out as a truck driver for his family’s plumbing and heating contracting business, Vinny has worked in practically every role in this industry, from the shop + fabrication to installation to executive level management positions. Along with our Director of Operations, Vinny is responsible for managing our day-to-day fire sprinkler installation operation. Vinny is an integral part of the QRFP Management Team and we are glad to have him onboard.
